The queer web project is always looking for new people to help out!

We need all kinds of skills, from coders to PR people to directors to guide our progress.

Where we’re at

Development is coming along nicely, but we’re at a stage where some more data and input would be very helpful indeed. The site isn’t at a usable stage, but huge bits of the development are in place.

What we need - general

Directors

We seek interested, committed people to help direct our project. This requires no more than a willingness to use the site, and to come to the bi-weekly process meetings when you are able. Directors will give us our day to day feedback, and help focus and guide the site.

Moderators

Anyone interested in helping us moderate users and content, and syndicate content from other websites. Anyone who spends their days surfing blogs or posting on internet message boards, this is for you!

Bloggers, bands, authors and other content providers…

Tell us what you need! We aim to be a one stop site for all your multimedia requirements. Come along, sign up, upload your data and tell us what needs doing to make it better.

What we need - specialist

Publicity/PR Coordinator

We need someone to manage our publicity, press releases and as a general media contact.

Visual identity coordinator

Are you a skilled graphic designer or illustrator? We need someone with a strong vision of a clean, simple site layout to coordinate graphical elements of the site and ensure consistency. No coding knowledge necessary! The actual implementation will be handled by the code team - what we’re looking for here is vision and attention to detail.

Legal advice

We could really do with legal advice now and again. This would be very irregular, helping us set up legal statements to begin with and handling any possible legal disputes. We are interested in disputing the new UK extreme pornography laws as well, if anyone is seeking a vehicle for this.

Drupal coders

We know it’s a long shot, but if there’s anyone out there who’s queer, got time to spare and knows Drupal then WE NEED YOU! Don’t worry if you’re not too confident - we’re not either. Enthusiasm and a reasonable knowledge of PHP and Drupal’s working is all we’re asking here!
