Kim by the Sea

Location(s)

49 Old Birley Street Hulme
Manchester, M15 5RF
United Kingdom

Kim by the Sea is a lovely and very welcoming space for queers and allies to hang out, eat and drink coffee. The atmosphere is very warm and the seagulls flying overhead give the impression that one is indeed by the sea and not in the Yellowbricks in Hulme.
The food is always good and the prices reasonable. Can especially recommend the cakes! Staff are very friendly and helpful and it is the sort of place where people at the next table come over and talk to you in a very amicable way which makes one feel at home.

Queer Cafe (Manchester)

group in

First Sunday of the month, come to the LGBTQ Centre behind 8th Day on Oxford Road for Sunday lunch, nice people and Sunday papers. It’s bring a dish, so please bring some food if you are able.

The cafe is primarily a safe space for queers and their friends. We take queer to mean people of all genders, sexualities, and sexes and who are involved in all kinds of relationship types. We started the Cafe out of a lack of safe spaces for queers to get cheap, vegetarian and vegan food and generally hang out and be well.
